One of Northern Illinois’ most beloved burger restaurants, 15th & Chris has been a community staple for nearly five years, known for its delicious burgers, fries and shakes. But the restaurant recently suffered a major setback this weekend after a fire that caused more than $100,000 in damage.

Local foodies love the food on 15th Street, and it’s not uncommon to see long lines when heading out. The restaurant was damaged, but the food truck was unharmed.
What happened?
A fire broke out on Sunday night, but luckily no one was hurt. However, the restaurant at 201 15th Avenue was so badly damaged that it was closed for a period of time for repairs. The Rockford Fire Department is currently investigating the incident as follows. possibility of arsonand they are asking anyone with information to come forward.
