Greenfield, Calif. (KION-TV): October update. 11:30 a.m. 4: A Greenfield gang member was arrested on murder charges Saturday night for allegedly shooting her Martin, 20, early Saturday morning.
20-year-old Jamie Cerna was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in Monterey County Jail.
Officers found Silva Martin on Block 50 of Fourth Street as he suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Silva Martin was taken to a local hospital, but he died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Soledad PD and South Monterey County Task Force detectives were called in to assist Greenfield PD in the investigation.
A suspect was identified after investigators looked at the residence’s home security cameras and gathered evidence, including speaking eyewitnesses.
Cerna was found with a stab wound to the leg at the Mee Memorial Hospital in King City and taken into custody.
Greenfield Police shared that witnesses at the scene saw Cerna suffering from a stab wound and combined other evidence to determine that Cerna was the suspect.
Investigators continued their search and ended up at Sarna’s residence on Block 50 of Moreno Street.
Investigators found a 9mm semi-automatic rifle at the residence, along with ammunition and a loaded extended magazine, which they believed was the murder weapon.
Investigators also concluded that Serna was a member of the Norteno gang from Greenfield and appeared to be associated with the gang.
Greenfield Police are asking additional witnesses with information about the shooting to contact the department.

Greenfield Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the city around 9:30 am on Saturday.
Officers responded to Block 50 on Fourth Street where they found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital.His condition is unknown at this time and he is working to get more information.
