DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) – Danville police responded to reports of a shooting Saturday morning in the 1000 block area of May Street.
Officers began investigating the scene around 3:02 a.m. when they were notified that the victim had arrived at the OSF emergency room, police said.
Officers rushed to the hospital and found a 38-year-old Danville man with a gunshot wound to his torso.
The victim told police he was sitting in his car on the 1000 block of May Street when someone started shooting at his car.
Police said the victim was unable to describe the suspect.
Authorities say the victim’s condition is stable and not life-threatening.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing and no other information has been released at this time.
Less than 24 hours later, in another shooting, a 41-year-old Danville man was shot in the leg outside the Days Hotel.
