Howl O Scream – SeaWorld Orlando
Head to SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl O’Scream event.
The Halloween event runs on select nights through October 31st, with food and beverage teams serving bugs galore at the “Crawling Cravings” food stand.
“The Scare Zone and Haunted House aren’t the only things that will bring guests to Howl O’ Scream at SeaWorld Orlando. Some are adventurous, like pretzel rods, grasshopper tacos, and chipotle cricket sandwiches, but these have real bugs.” “There are also signature cocktails, like the Scratch Blood Bag and the Siren Cocktail, at Howl O Scream. It gives our guests the courage to experience the horror that awaits.”
Chipotle Cricket Sandwich and Grasshopper Tacos are $10.99 and Ant Pretzel Rods are $6.99.
Salt & Straw – Disney Springs
Salt & Straw at Disney Springs, an Oregon-based ice cream shop, is known for creating unique and interesting flavors.
For a limited time, you can try the flavors of the Ice Scream series.
Of course you could try Great Candycopia, Jack o’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread, or Black Cat Licorice & Lavender flavors, but I went with Don Bugito’s Creepy Crawly Critters.
“October means Halloween, Halloween means haunted houses, trick-or-treating, jack-o-lanterns, lots of bugs, cauldrons full of potions. We’re drawn into the Halloween metaphor,” Salt & Straw said in a statement.
Matcha ice cream is jam-packed with flavors like toffee crumbly mealworms and chocolate crickets. According to Salt & Straw’s website, Oakland, Calif.-based company Don Bugito has partnered with them to offer delicious insects.

Halloween Horror Nights – Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando has a “Killer” menu for Halloween Horror Nights 2022 guests.
The event features an original haunted house called “Bugs: Eaten Alive,” where guests attempt to escape a swarm of rebellious insects.
Following that experience, guests can take their spooky experience even further by trying the “Maggot Covered Cheese Dog.”
Before we get too deep into it, let me be clear. This product does not contain real maggots, but they appear to be. This item can be found at the Pumpkin Booth located between Simpsons Land and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.
The food is a Korean-style corn dog, wrapped in puffed rice and topped with a drizzle of gochujang and black sesame seeds.
Through October 31st, Halloween Horror Nights will let you sample the bug-inspired dishes and more.
