This is the second time Amsterdam has appeared in a Call of Duty game. According to RTL Nieuws, the game’s detailed recreation of the red light district and the area around the Old Church has caught the attention of many fans.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is set to officially release on October 28th, but parts of the game are already playable. In the game, the mission starts at Oosterdock in front of the main Amsterdam Public Library. Players make their way through the alleyways of the Red Light District to the Oudezijds Voorburgwal.

Popular tourist destinations have been recreated down to the tiniest detail, with pleasure boats floating on canals, specific designs of street lights, and rows of parked bicycles. According to RTL Nieuws, your scenic tour of Amsterdam ends with a photo shoot at Oudekerksplein. According to Het Parool, the creator of the game Sint He placed a fictional alleyway in Annenboort.
This isn’t the first time the Dutch capital has appeared in Call of Duty. According to Het Parool, Amsterdam also appeared in his 2020 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
