Bartender’s ball on B side tap
ONEONTA — The annual Bartending Ball and Halloween Costume Bash will return to the B-Side Ballroom at 1 Clinton Plaza on Saturday, October 29 at 7:00 PM.
Bartenders: Patti Canner, Sabrina Beckeling, Chris Patterson, Jim Brady.
The Driftwoods will be playing classic honky-tonk music with Jason Wicks on Saturday, November 19th at 8pm. At the door he will be charged a $15 cover charge.
Mopar Cams and Lara Hope & The Arktones will play rockabilly music on Friday, November 25th at 8pm. A $10 cover charge will be collected at the door.
The following night, Saturday, November 26th, at 8pm, Blues Maneuver will also take place with a $10 cover charge.
Photo show held decision
STAMFORD — A community photo show will be held on Saturday, October 29, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Headwaters Arts Center at 66 Main Street in Stamford.
The Art Space’s second gallery show runs through January 7th.
‘Misery’ concludes with a Sunday matinee
DOWNTOWN — The Bigger Dream production of “Misery,” based on the Stephen King novel, opens Saturday, October 29th at 8:00pm and concludes with a matinee performance on Sunday, October 30th at 2:00pm.
The play opens October 21st and runs at the Production Center at the Foothills Performing Arts and Civic Center at 24 Market Street in Oneonta.
According to media releases, the production contains adult subject matter.
The cast includes Brooke Tolman, Steve Dillon, and Darcy Gibson.

sitalist concert set for friday
ONEONTA — Citalist Arjun Verma will perform at 7:30 PM on Friday, November 4 at the First United Methodist Church at 66 Chestnut Street in Oneonta as part of the 2022-23 season of the Oneonta Concert Association.
The sitar is described as a plucked string instrument originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music.
According to media reports, he is the son of internationally active but Oneonta-based sitalist Roop Verma, and a disciple of Ali Akbar Khan and Ravi Shankar.
Arjun started taking sitar lessons from his father when he was five years old. He plays in a style that includes not only exhilarating elements of Indian music, but also deeply meditative elements.
