Monday night is Halloween. It’s the perfect time to celebrate with everyone for a little spooky fun.
Most cities in central Michigan have trick-or-treating on Mondays from 6pm to 8pm.
This includes Jackson, Lansing, Bath, Delta Township, Derry Township, DeWitt, East Lansing, Eaton Rapids, Meridian Township and St. John’s.
This Friday is opening night for Shrek The Musical at the Portland Community Theater.
Set in a mythical land once upon a time, Shrek the Musical tells the story of a giant green ogre… Quarantine.
A hilarious musical about curses being reversed, monsters getting girls, donkeys and dragons finding love, and princesses of all shapes and sizes.

In the evening, the public will be invited to the Raise Up Happiness fundraiser kickoff concert.
On Saturday night, the Lansing Symphony Orchestra sheds light on some of the many paths and inspirations music explored in the early 20th century.
The program includes everything from Claude Debussy’s Prelude to Juan’s Afternoon to Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.
The concert starts at 7:30pm
This weekend marks a unique partnership between MSU’s Wharton Center and the Rare Isotope Beam Facility (FRIB for short).
It’s called Of Equal Place: Isotopes in Motion, and it delves into the research taking place at FRIB, exploring themes that resonate with both nuclear physics and dance.
The performance also highlights the contributions of young people, women, and people of color to science through a cast of diverse ages, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds.
The show starts at 1pm on Sunday.
Also at the Wharton Center, the Mask Theater Group Mamenschanz celebrates its 50th anniversary, attracting audiences of all ages in theaters around the world. The legendary video theater company takes the audience on a journey into its history and future.
The production also includes sketches featuring amazing new shapes and characters that capture Momentiance’s signature spirit of endless possibilities and joy.
