Virginia, Illinois (WAND) – Illinois State Police A 37-year-old man from Beardstown, Illinois has been arrested for possession of child pornography.
Police say they launched an investigation after the ISP’s DCI Zone 4 agent learned in August 2021. Chow B. Tung distributed child pornography through an online platform.
ISP agents, along with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, have gathered sufficient evidence to support Tun’s arrest.
On October 25, 2022, the Cass County State Attorney’s Office filed one count information and charged Tun with a class 3 felony for possession of child pornography.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Tan.
Tun was arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail. His bail is set at his $100,000, with 10% applied.
