The Brazilian Leonaire, trained by Jeremiah Englehart and driven by Francisco Arrieta, completed the distance of about 1 1/8 miles on a turf course labeled good in 1:53.40.
It was the fourth straight win for the Brazilian Lionaire, son of Kentucky-bred five-year-old Candy Ryde (ARG), among the Carlin mare’s flash forwards. Keeneland sales graduate Brazilian Lionair improved her record to her 15-5-2-5 and boosted her career earnings to $233,685 on Wednesday’s $64,790 check.
Brazilian Lionair returned $17.26, $6.44 and $4.20. Al’s Rocket ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr. returned $3.48 and $2.64 and headed in front of Kitten Mischief, who paid $4.02 under Vincent Cheminaud.
Friday and Saturday are the last two days of Keeneland’s fall competition.
