Charissa Gilmore, senior vice president of corporate communications for Disney General Entertainment (DGE), is leaving The Walt Disney Company. In response, Naomi Brochnikov-Paul and Candice Ashton have been promoted, Variety reports.
Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul is currently Executive Vice President of Public Relations and Events for ABC and DGE and will assume the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Public Relations and Head of Communications for DGE.
Candice Ashton is currently Senior Vice President of Public Relations, Events and Talent Relations for Hulu Originals. She is currently set to oversee publicity for Disney Television Studios.

I wanted to share some news. After more than 30 years of service with multiple brands and supporting many grateful executives like myself, Charissa Gilmore is leaving the company. We are so grateful for Charissa’s dedication, her many contributions, and her steady hand that helped navigate our team over the years.
Naomi Brochnikov-Paul, who has worked closely with many of you, expands her reach in the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Public Relations and Head of Communications at Disney General Entertainment . In this role, Naomi will oversee all external and internal communications for her DGE and will serve as the primary spokesperson. She will also continue to promote her collective for ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Freeform and Onyx. She will join my leadership her team, reporting to Shannon Ryan for publicity and Christina Her Sheikh for communications.
Naomi is a respected communications leader and astute strategist with strong relationships with media, talent and executives. She has an incredible track record and her commitment to excellence will serve us well at this exciting and pivotal moment for our company and for years to come.
In light of this news, Candace Ashton, currently SVP of Public Relations, Events and Talent Relationships for Hulu Originals, will assume oversight of the Public Relations team at Disney Television Studios. Candice has established herself as a leader in the Hulu Originals sort, overseeing promotional campaigns for some of her most successful shows and helping to position Hulu as her top streaming platform. Her expertise and creativity are highly regarded by her team, making her a perfect fit for Disney Television Studios.
