New event notice! The Tucson Chinese Chorizo Festival will host community-driven events for the first time over the next three weekends in October.
More than 15 local restaurants participate as official destinations to celebrate Chinese chorizo. Every weekend, seven or eight restaurants donate two of his chorizos worth £15. How you prepare your food is up to your chef, and how many destinations you visit every Friday to Sunday is up to you.

Membrillo fruit is a very versatile fruit. You can cook it, bake it, or store it. This year’s Membrillo Fest is meant to celebrate just that and a bountiful harvest from the quince trees at Mission Gardens.
This year’s event will also celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs through Saturday, October 15th. An annual demonstration of how to make cajeta de membrillo, the traditional quince jam of the Hispanic world, will be integrated with other presentations on Hispanic heritage.

This weekend, you’ll have not one but two chances to fix your chili. Starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, we might be able to create both.
- The 25th Annual Firefighter Chili Cook-Off is being held. All proceeds go to fund charitable causes for the holiday season.
- At Jonathan’s Cork, sample chili at 10 local restaurants. The Send a Kid to Camp fundraiser includes a raffle with great prizes.
