Martinsburg – Martinsburg native Christian Lopez married actress Skyler Shay on October 10 at the Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara. The story and photos were shared in People magazine to put the couple in the spotlight.
The two have known each other since 2017 and told the Journal they were thrilled to be married.
“I am so happy that people asked me to write an article about our wedding. gave me,” they said.
Shay, who starred in the movie The Bratz and guest starred in Grey’s Anatomy, was born and raised in Beverly Hills and Lopez was born and raised in Martinsburg and is a musician, singer, and songwriter.
“Martinsburg shaped me. Wherever I go, small towns resonate the most. Coffee shops, local art, family restaurants,” Lopez said.
“We come from polar opposite worlds, but we consider the best of both worlds,” added Shaye.
The two spoke to The Journal about their wedding, which brought happiness to everyone involved.
“Christian didn’t want to sing at the wedding, but my dad asked him to sing the father-daughter dance. It was really special to me,” Shay said.
Lopez added that Skyler’s family is Jewish and they had a Jewish wedding.
“It was such an exhilarating moment getting up on the chair for Hola,” he said.
They shared their marriage goals and advice for others.
“Our main goal is to never stop chasing the butterflies we have for each other and always support each other in any way we can professionally and emotionally.” ‘s main advice is to avoid noise and put relationships first.It’s the foundation of the life you’re building.Focus on bringing out the best in each other and don’t worry about what other people think. please give me.”
When asked about how their busy schedules work together, the two explained that it’s the perfect match for them.
“It’s great because we can work full-time with each other and coordinate our schedules. She travels with me. We feel so lucky to have that ability,” Lopez said. .
