South Korean conglomerate CJ ENM has appointed Chang-Gun Koo as the new CEO of its entertainment division. Ku is a veteran of CJ Group and is currently tasked with overseeing plans for global expansion and accelerated growth to “lead a new paradigm in the entertainment industry.”
As part of the annual executive turnover, Koo will succeed Ho-sung Kang as co-CEO of CJ Group. Mr. Koo joined the company in 2010 and worked as an analyst at Samsung Securities before becoming CEO of CJ Foodville, a global food service and culture company, in 2017. Beauty store CJ Oliveyoung supervised by himself since 2018.
CJ ENM’s entertainment division spans media content, music, film and performing arts. Over the past few years, we have experienced aggressive growth.
