Organizers have announced the performers for the Downtown Glendale Arts and Culture Fest in February.
The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance, Local First Arizona, and the City have teamed up for an evening featuring cultural stage showcases, artisan marketplaces, live paintings, interactive murals, food trucks, and fire artist Fulham It brings over 70 art experiences, including performances. The Fest takes place Saturday, February 4th from 11am to 8pm at Murphy Park at 5850 W. Glendale Avenue.

Throughout the day, the E. Lowell Rogers Amphitheater transforms with cultural music, drumming, dance, and circus arts. Event schedule:

Artist Spotlight – Flam Chen
A showcase evening performance by Flam Cheng will take place at 6:30pm, debuting a new original experience, ‘Dances on Water – A Journey of Evacuation, Reconstruction and Renaissance’. Joint performances feature elaborate costumes, elaborate choreography, puppetry, fire art, stilt walking, music, and other circus and fire arts.
Flam Chen blends daredevil acrobatics with mastery of the arts of aerial and fire. Their performances explore narratives ranging from the fantastic to the satirical, with skills honed over more than 20 years of innovation in the circus arts.
The event will feature an artist and vendor market featuring the best local artisans in the fields of fashion, food, homewares and visual arts. Stroll through Murphy Park and find your next great handcrafted gift or treasure from his 50+ vendors and local makers featured at the festival. The festival gives attendees the opportunity to interact intimately with artists and interactive art installations. Activities and experiences take place throughout Murphy Park and inside participating companies located in Historic Downtown Glendale. Highlights include the Community Chalk Art Zone, art installations, youth painting activities, VESSEL Spectrum Performing Arts, and Sankofa Island Magic at the Musical Petting Zoo.

Event organizers will work with Hensley to ensure a wide variety of local beers, wines and canned cocktails will be available near the event stage for the duration of the event A variety of food trucks will line the streets of Murphy Park and all From Lobster Rolls to Hawaiian Honey Desserts.

downtown business passport
The city has partnered with Local First Arizona to create a Downtown Business Passport that highlights what makes the downtown experience unique. Guides will be available at the festival and will introduce you to local restaurants, retailers, area attractions and experiences. Artisans, food vendors, and exhibitors interested in attending the event will continue to have applications available here.
