Years ago, Greg Tierney said he was retiring from the restaurant industry to devote himself to his family. But when you have that kind of talent and passion, it’s hard to walk away! We’re so glad he didn’t because we didn’t have Motor City Pizza where Greg shares his childhood Detroit style pizza with us.
Detroit-style pizza has skyrocketed in popularity over the last few years. What exactly? It’s a deep dish pizza that’s easier than you think. Cheese is baked to every corner.Unlike other pizzas, the sauce is past Ingredients to continue.
Greg creates his pizzas with the most authentic and delicious ingredients and flavor combinations. He uses his Wisconsin his brick his cheese and old world pepperoni to achieve the most authentic flavors. But he also has Texas Sweet Heat, made with candied jalapenos and hot honey, and Queen’s Steak, created by former Highland Village mayor Charlotte Wilcox and topped with smoked brisket, onions, bacon and barbecue sauce. Combining Detroit and Texas in pizzas such as Sikan.
One of our favorite pizzas on his menu is the Motown Supreme topped with Greg’s homemade BOSS SAUCE made with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and San Marzano tomatoes.
But since Greg’s moved to a new location and is open for both lunch and dinner, he’s added a few new items to the menu, including sandwiches, more salads, and pasta.
For Motown Pizza, try the Motown Salad topped with dried cranberries, walnuts and ricotta cheese.
If you want to try a sandwich, you can’t go wrong with Greg’s homemade balsamic mayonnaise, heaped with meat, tomato and lettuce the traditional Italian way.
As for pasta, you must try the Chicken Florentine, fettuccine topped with chicken mixed with bacon, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and Alfredo sauce.
