Lou Lou – Lavender Bay
A fantastic French bistro that you won’t find in Paris or New York. Classic and familiar French cuisine done right. Great food with incredible rotisserie chicken, but I couldn’t get past the steak frites with sauce au pole.
Dishes you must try: For dessert, I had the special Bombe Alaska.
Pellegrino 2000 – Surry Hills
Wow, a great trattoria that outweighs its weight when it comes to flavor and deliciousness. The tortellini, shrimp and brown butter were excellent as was the capellini, tomato and spanner crab.
Dishes you must try: Another dessert highlight is the double crema caramelo alla banana.

Pellegrino 2000
fun team lunch
White & Wong – CBD
A fun new place for Asian fusion, vibrant street food with fresh Australian produce. Great selection of dumplings, amazing Peking duck pancakes with delicious curries and wok dishes.
Dishes you must try: Char siu scotch with chili and red vinegar.
Jimmy Falafel – CBD
Part of the bustling Middle East in the heart of Sydney. Incredibly flavorful dishes perfect for sharing in a great atmosphere. We loved the Lebanese bread with hummus, chasik, tabouli, slow cooked roman beans and of course the famous Jimmy’s falafel. I’m showing my sweet tooth here, but the baklava stretchy Middle Eastern ice cream sandwich was a special treat to top off a delicious Eastern feast.
Dishes you must try: From the grill, the selection of lamb dishes such as merguez, kafta and shish are exceptional.

brekkie’s favorite
bills bondy
Bills’ fine signature dishes are as good in Bondi as they are in town. Signature dishes include ricotta pancakes with banana and honeycomb butter and sweet corn fritters with bacon and avo salsa.
Paramount Coffee Project – Surry Hills
Not only is the coffee incredible, but the all day menu is great. Scrambled eggs with garlic and chive butter and smashed avocado and bacon are excellent.
Cheap and cheerful lunch with the crew, I pay for it myself

Breakfast at Paramount Coffee Project
Oaks – Neutral Bay
A long time favorite with a courtyard perfect for summer. Regular pub favorites are steak sambo, fish and chips, sausage and mash. However, the food off the grill is sensational. The Tomahawk steak or scotch, eye fillet, great rump or New York cut sirloin deserve a special visit.
Old Clare Hotel – Chippendale
This great pub has a new lunch menu with some standout dishes. In addition to the regular classics such as burgers, schnitzel and steak, the prawn he roll on a brioche bun with garlic butter was also delicious.
Today’s recommendation: Must be Pellegrino 2000 fresh shrimp, tortelloni and brown butter.
