House of the Dragon The Season 1 finale featured yet another “traumatic” birth scene.
Showrunner when the series began. Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik said they would not “hold back” on some of the births that take place in George RR Martin’s source material. Fire & Blood.
One such scene featured in the opening episode, ending with the death of Queen Emma (Sian Brooke). In Episode 6, Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) gives birth to her Joffrey.

In episode 10, Rhaenyra goes into premature labor shortly after learning that her father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), has died, resulting in a stillborn baby. Viewers had trouble watching scenes with disturbing detail and expressed their distress on social media.

Regarding the inclusion of these scenes, Sapochnik previously said: throneI tried to put in a different spine each time, so I think it’s not just doing the same thing, but putting a lot of violence on the screen for the sake of violence doesn’t do the world any good.
Somewhere in the season 1 finale, the writers dismissed a controversial plot point that upset many fans following the airing of the penultimate episode.
In one climactic scene that takes place on the bridge of Dragonstone, Otto presents Laneira with a note from Aricent. This memo plays a role in Raenira’s decision to consider Hand’s suggestion to Aegon to bend the knee. Fans will recognize it from previous episodes.
