Apple will release iOS 16.1 later today, and the software will be released along with several other updates. These include iPadOS 16.1, macOS 13 Ventura and watchOS 9.1.
Last week, the iOS 16.1 Release Candidate, the final developer version of the software, was released. This is the same version that will be released to everyone later today.

As you can see from the video, this software update brings many new features to iPhone. With this update, you will be able to completely remove the Apple Wallet app from your iPhone. Previously, you could only remove it from the home screen.
This release introduces a new Live Activities feature that displays live information such as Uber status and live sports scores right on your lock screen. It has some features unique to the iPhone 14 Pro model. This information is displayed within the dynamic islands of these models.
