Sesame Workshop’s hungriest character wears an apron and spatula from a new standalone series aimed at the German market.
Cookie Monster food truck and Stefan Henssler (13 x 22 min) is based on regular segments. Sesame street Meet Cookie Monster and his fellow chef Gonger. Germany’s Kidsnet Super RTL and its RTL+ streaming platform are owned by Cologne-based prodco MOVEME (Otto Total).
A spin-off tag team and the Muppets duo who learn about food, from how ingredients are grown to how they prepare meals. It’s also locally customized by casting German star chef Henssler as a human helper.
Like the segment it’s based on, cookie monster food truck Stefan Kastenmüller, European GM of Sesame Workshop, is all about making children more knowledgeable about healthy food, home cooking and sustainability.
The new series will launch in Spring 2023 in RTL+ and Super RTL, with the broadcaster’s in-house licensing team managing its consumer products business in Germany.
