Strangers in a strange land
Leslie Jordan will be on the big screen one last time…because the last movie he starred in is about to be finished.
Screenwriter and Director Tracy Pellegrino tells TMZ… “Strangers in a Strange Land,” Leslie’s latest film credits listed in post-production, is a small independent film made up of several shorts that focuses on strangers around the world finding themselves in situations hilarious due to their confusion and language barriers – and this is the LA part of the film where Leslie shines.
Leslie plays a Southerner in Los Angeles who tries to help give directions to a Russian man at a bus stop…someone he finds VERY attractive.
The humor is on par with Leslie, and it follows — we’re told that Tracy and her husband, To mark, wrote the role with him in mind…totally unaware if Leslie would even sign on for the project. Tracy had known Leslie for over 20 years.
Tracy says the film was shot over a long period of time – it was filmed in Paris, Cannes, Rome, Dusseldorf, London, Brooklyn and LA She says Leslie’s role was filmed around 2017. There is no no release date yet for the film.
As we reported, sources close to the late actor tell us that Leslie was lead to the whole from “Call Me Kat” on Monday morning when he suffered some sort of medical emergency, to crash in the side of a building. He was 67 years old.
