Luke Evans feels “vulnerable” when he sings.
The 43-year-old star revealed that recording his second studio album, A Song for You, was a very different challenge than acting.
Luke, who has starred in movies like Beauty and the Beast and Fast and Furious 6, said: “In the movies I’m not playing myself, I’m always playing someone else’s story.
“When I sing, I wear no mask. It’s a very raw and vulnerable place.”
Luke, who came out as gay at the age of 22, claims he’s not worried about his lyrics being too open and honest.
He told The Independent:
Luke also confessed to being inspired by Adele.
“Some of the songs she wrote helped me understand my feelings and process past relationships. I’m doing it the loudest and digging into the path I’ve taken. It takes courage.”
Nonetheless, Luke insists that his personal life should remain a private matter.
The Hollywood star said, “I don’t think it’s anyone’s real job to tell me about my personal life.
“Why do they have to do that to gay actors when they don’t do it to straight actors? It shouldn’t matter… I won’t talk about it because Because that’s nobody’s nice business!”
Luke also claims that his sexuality hasn’t had much of an impact on his career.
The actor, who is rumored to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, said:[My sexuality] It didn’t affect any of the roles I’ve played. I’ve played everything and no one seems to have a problem. ”
