Madonna began her post by talking about her iconic SEX photo book, released in 1992. The explicit book sparked outrage while being praised for its avant-garde nature.
“30 years ago I published a book called SEX. In addition to pictures of me naked, there were pictures of men kissing men, women kissing women, and me kissing everyone,” she wrote.
Madonna continued, “I also wrote about my sexual fantasies and shared my views on sexuality in an ironic way.”
The Borderline singer went on to say that she was the target of criticism from less open-minded individuals.

Provocative: In the statement, the 64-year-old hitmaker explained how she had previously opened up to the public about her private life in a way that greatly outraged much of the public
“I spent the New Years being interviewed by narrow-minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself as a woman,” she recalled.
Madonna then remarked that she “was called aw****, a witch, a heretic and the devil” during the period.
The hitmaker went on to say that modern artists are allowed to be much more open about their sexuality.
“Now Cardi B can sing on her WAP. Kim Kardashian can cover any magazine with her bare ass and Miley Cyrus can walk in like a wrecking ball,’ she said.
