During the encounter, the late Carleton mentioned that he “got scared” after reading the singer’s book, and she responded by asking him why he was scared of its contents.
“The picture of you straddling the mirror, masturbating? I thought that was awful. It just seems awful to me,” he replied.

Madonna said she was intrigued by the responses to the book’s content.
“I think people’s reactions to specific situations in the book reflected that person a lot more than me,” she said.
The singer then asked Carleton, “Are you afraid of a woman who can get excited?”
‘A little yes. It’s true. I don’t know why… But I’m here to talk about you, not me,” Carleton replied.

Madonna also posted a message alongside the video, alluding to the outrage she has received over her decades-long career as the true “Queen of Pop”.
The Grammy Award-winning performer also said she thinks she’s “paved the way” for Miley Cyrus, Cardi B and pop culture icon Kim Kardashian.
“30 years ago I published a book called SEX. In addition to pictures of me naked, there were pictures of men kissing men, women kissing women, and me kissing everyone,” she wrote.

“I think people’s reactions to specific situations in the book were much more reflective of that person than me,” Madonna said.
Madonna continued, “I also wrote about my sexual fantasies and shared my views on sexuality in an ironic way.”
The Borderline singer went on to say that she was the target of criticism from less open-minded individuals.
“I spent the New Years being interviewed by narrow-minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself as a woman,” she recalled.

Madonna then revealed that she “was called aw****, a witch, a heretic and the devil” during the period.
The hitmaker went on to say that modern artists are allowed to be much more open about their sexuality.
“Now Cardi B can sing on her WAP. Kim Kardashian can cover any magazine with her bare ass and Miley Cyrus can walk in like a wrecking ball,’ she said.
