Martha Stewart fulfilled a carb lover’s dream on Saturday morning.
The TV celebrity posted on Instagram that she had a “great ‘foodie’ morning” in Portland. and “tasted Atsuko Fujimoto’s delicious baked goods.”
Stewart posted a few photos from his visit to Norimoto Bakery. That included a photo of her and Fujimoto smiling next to a towering tray in the bakery. Fujimoto was a finalist this year in the James Beard Award for Outstanding Baker.
The bakery describes it on its website as “European pastries with a Japanese sensibility,” and the menu changes regularly according to the season. Recent additions include treats such as miso honey quinan aman with pecans, noritama egg sandwiches, apple he cranberry tarts, and pumpkin scones with candied ginger.

She also grabbed a green smoothie at nearby Rwanda Bean Coffee’s Deering Center. “So lucky to be @norimotobakery’s next-door neighbor at her spot in Portland’s Little Suite!” the coffee shop commented.
