It’s always fun to see Mitten State get rave reviews on SNL!

If you caught the October 29th episode of Saturday Night Live, you’ve seen one of Michigan’s newest attractions.
In its 48th season, rapper Jack served as both host and musical guest on this weekend’s SNL episode.
In SNL’s Weekend Update segment, Colin Jost and Michael Che take on the biggest news of the week, including John Fetterman and Dr. Oz facing off in the Senate debate, Kanye’s company severing ties, Elon Musk’s Twitter hijacking, and more. I worked on it.
Towards the end of the feature, host Colin Jost highlights Skybridge Michigan in the Boyne Valley. This is the longest wooden suspension bridge in the world. Until the Beaver comes along anyway?

The 1,200-foot footbridge, which rises 120 feet at the summit, recently opened to the public on October 15th.
This isn’t the first time Michigan has been raved about on SNL.
One of the most memorable moments in recent years was Saturday Night Live’s parody of the viral Michigan House Oversight Board hearing featuring Rudy Giuliani and “star witness” Melissa Carrone.
There was also Cecily Strong’s impersonation of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
