A 22-foot-long python swallowed an old woman whole in Indonesia. A shocking video has been released of the moment an old woman’s body was found inside a mutilated beast.
Police told CNN Indonesia the search was launched after the victim, 54-year-old Jahrah, failed to return after collecting rubber from a plantation in Jambi province on Sunday.
Her husband searched the area but found only his wife’s sandals, jacket, headscarf and knife, Betara Jambi police chief AKP Herafa told the outlet.
The next day, he returned to the same area with a search party — police confirmed that he came across a giant snake with a swollen midsection that had been eating something large.

A wild video shows volunteers carefully using branches to pin a python’s head down as others begin to beat the python over the swollen area.
The disturbing clip is revealed by villagers carefully cutting and cutting open what authorities say is the swallowed body of the missing grandma.
“Everyone was surprised,” Ant, head of the local Terjung Gajah village, told the viral press.

“It turned out that the woman we were looking for was in the stomach of a snake.”
Ant said the snake probably bit Jafra, wrapping her up and suffocating her to death before swallowing.
That wasn’t even a record for a village where a 27-foot-long python had been spotted before, Anto said.

One escaped, officials said, and locals were “worried that the big snake was still in the forest.”
