Food in Missoula seems to be getting better and better, but the city still has a long way to go to be considered one of the best places to eat. spicy maniacs
Lucky for these folks, Missoula has more options than ever for spicier food. Spicy maniacs don’t need anything special, but they may even try the One Chip Challenge.
meat lover
Steak is what Montana is all about, and some even consider Missoula a part of Montana. just kidding. Missoula has a hippie-he-vegan stereotype, but it also has some great steakhouses. If you’re a foodie who loves burgers, Wally & Buck is for you.
hippie vegan
Stereotype teeth partially true. I clarify that I am using the term “hippie vegan” jokingly and affectionately. I couldn’t go a day without meat, so I admire their willpower. Google says Pie Hole and Plonk have vegan options, so you can tell just by looking at the place that everything at Veera Donuts is vegan.
desert peeps
Desserts may be what Missoula does best when it comes to food. Crumble cookies, Bernice’s Bakery, Big Dipper ice cream, and more. Desert Peep is never far from your next sweet and savory meal.
season eater
What is their favorite food? It depends on the time of year. It’s all pumpkin spice right now, but I plan to switch to peppermint after Thanksgiving. Eat leafy greens in the spring and fried chicken, watermelon and the best hot dogs in Missoula in the summer. Bon appetit.
