Byron Center, Michigan — It’s playoff time!
Portage Northern gearing up for Byron Center
The Blitz’s game of the week sees Portage Northern (6-3) take on Byron Center (7-2) in the Division 2 District Semifinals.
The Huskies are a very young footballer with 18 of their 22 starters being non-seniors, but quarterback Kane Mack and running back Xavior Chuss are seniors and have been outstanding this fall.
“I don’t think age is a big factor,” Tyus said. We just show them through the way we carry ourselves in school, at practice, and everywhere we go.”
Byron Center is the top seed in the district, and if they can win this game, they could give them at least one more home game, and possibly another.
