Nick Grimshaw was embarrassed when he felt nauseous after smoking marijuana at a party hosted by Drake.
The 38-year-old host was invited to Drake’s studio by friend Florence Welch after the 2010 MTV VMAs, but was teased by other guests after he struggled to control his body’s reaction to drugs. He admitted that he had been beaten.
According to The Sun, he wrote in his autobiography, Soft Boy:
“I drank it up and smiled at Drake.
“I stepped outside and let out what felt like 30 minutes of nausea.
“I came back, pale and smelled slightly of vomit. Laughter filled the room.
“I looked up at the CCTV screen showing the exact location of the vomiting incident. I had the studio live stream it.”
Nick also spoke about his friendship with the late singer Amy Winehouse, whom he first met in Camden, London.
