Oklahoma police are investigating a homicide after eight people were found dead in a house fire.
“This is a complex scene considering the condition of the home due to fire damage,” the Broken Arrow Police Department said in a statement. Facebook post Thursday evening. The circumstances of the fire in Broken Arrow, a suburb about 10 miles southeast of Tulsa, are still under investigation, authorities said.
Police confirmed that a family of eight – including six children – lived in the house, but did not identify anyone further.
“There is still much to investigate about these identities,” police spokesman Ethan Hutchins said Thursday.

hutchins said Affiliated with CNN KTUL that police are investigating “what happened to these victims”, adding that preliminary reports indicated the incident would be a homicide investigation.
“When officers arrived…they found several dead in that house,” he said. “At this time, we are still investigating what happened.”
Officers will scour the area, talk to neighbors and “look for possible clues,” the officer added.
