Houston, Minnesota (WXOW) – A new facility at the International Owl Center in Houston is in the planning stages.
This weekend, October 22nd and 23rd, we will be hosting an online auction to raise funds for the new facility.
The center’s executive director, Karla Bloom, said that in addition to raising funds for the new building, part of the funds will support the Sister Owl Festival in Nepal.
The auction will be similar to what the center has done in the past, but with some additional items. There are 49 original children’s owl art pieces from 19 countries. Additionally, people can bid on experiences such as banding a young great horned owl at Seskatchewan, meeting owls at his Scottish Owl Center, and escarpment cruises in his vintage 1951 MG Roadster. increase.
