The Northaven Road home was featured at this year’s American Institute of Architects (AIA) Dallas Tour of Homes.
The Home Tour, which includes a total of eight Dallas homes in multiple neighborhoods, will take place November 5-6. Fully curated by local architects, it “shows the best of residential architecture,” according to the website.
Birnbaum/Magadini, an East Dallas-based architectural firm led by Bruce Birnbaum and Patricia Magadini, designed the home on Northhaven Road. It was damaged in a tornado in October 2019 and has been rebuilt. See our October 2020 article for more details.
“The new home’s design considers classic mid-century elements while embracing the modern with modern amenities and utilitarian spaces like tornado shelters,” reads the description.
The home has also been expanded by 1,000 square feet with a mix of modern and retro elements and an open kitchen layout.
Home tour tickets range from $20 to $150 and are available here.
