Discover Financial – Shares fell about 1.8% after Discover Financial reported weaker-than-expected earnings for the last quarter and noted that it expects operating expenses to rise more than expected for the full year.
Cadence Design Systems – Shares of the software company rose 1.6% after raising its full-year earnings-per-share forecast and posting higher and lower pace for the latest quarter. Cadence Design Systems reported earnings of $1.06 per share, beating an estimate of 96 cents, according to StreetAccount.
Qualtrics — Qualtrics’ stock jumped 9.9% after the company beat analysts’ expectations for last quarter earnings and raised its guidance.
Amazon – Shares of the tech giant slid less than 1% on a report from the New York Post that it freeze hiring in its Amazon Web Services division.
Packaging Corp of America – Shares fell 2.7% in extended trading after last-quarter earnings fell short of Wall Street estimates. The packaging products maker posted a slight decline in adjusted earnings per share.
Zions Bancorporation – Shares of the banking company fell 6.5% in extended trading after reporting earnings per share of $1.40 below Wall Street expectations.
WR Berkley Corp. — Shares of the insurance company fell 5% after reporting lower year-over-year net income and earnings per share. Net investment losses and expenses also increased in the business.
