Here are some highlights:
On Kelly being impressed by Red Sox starter Brayan Bello:
“Unbelievable. I don’t know exactly what the analysis does, but just look at it and see how the ball moves… the ball shouldn’t move like that. It’s unbelievable that he’s so young, and it’s so easy, he’s definitely one of the better weapons at his age.
Kelly said of her goals for Spring Training in 2023:
“Last year my goal going into big league camp as a non-roster player was to try and make a team. It’s good to have some experience, but it’s the same goal: come in and try to compete, command the zone, go out and try to be efficient, build a team. It’s really the only thing I can control and you try not to worry about things you can’t control.
“The positive side of having that experience is that I need to work a little bit more, like a certain consistency of certain movements on certain pitches and trying to command different parts of the zone a little bit better than I do. It shows that there is. It is. It is definitely beneficial to have it.”
