Smith-Petersen alluded to the startling revelation while reading a letter from his wife to Memorial to Lisa Marie Presley at Graceland on Sunday.
“Thank you for showing me that love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter like you loved me, like you loved my brother and my sisters,” it reads. part in Keough’s letter to his late mother.
“Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my mannerisms, my temper, my savagery, my tenacity. I am a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart.
Smith-Petersen, who married Keough in 2015, did not specify their daughter’s date of birth or reveal her name. The little one was the grandson of Lisa Marie, who sadly passed away last week at the age of 54.
Riley, who was scheduled to speak at the memorial, sat in the front row as her husband read aloud the heartwarming letter on her behalf.
“I remember you giving me baths as a baby, driving me around in my car seat listening to Aretha Franklin…taking me out for ice cream after school in Florida,” recalls- she.
“I remember you singing lullabies for me and my brother at night, and laying with us until we fell asleep.”
The message continued: “I remember what it felt like to be loved by the most loving mother I have ever known. How safe it was to be in your arms: I remember that feeling as a kid and I remember it two weeks ago on your couch.
The ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ star shared a photo of herself holding flowers while gazing at her mother. She captioned the post simply with a red heart emoji.
