Musicians from northeastern Louisiana are featured on primetime television.
Union Parish blues and soul singer-songwriter Robert Finley will be performing on NBC’s America’s Got Talent All-Stars singing competition at 7 p.m. Monday. of franchise.
In 1970 Finley enlisted in the United States Army as a helicopter technician in Germany. He eventually became the guitarist and bandleader of an army band and traveled around Europe until his discharge.

After being considered legally blind and retiring from carpentry, Finley was discovered in 2015 by the Music Maker Relief Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps older blues musicians. With the help of this organization, Finley appeared on tour with acts such as her Alabama Slim and Robert Lee. Coleman.
He released his debut album ‘Age Don’t Mean a Thing’ in 2016. After that, he released two more albums, “Going Platinum!” “The Peasant’s Son” in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
Finley appeared on Season 14 of ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2019. She was eliminated in the semi-finals.
