
On Monday, the U.S. Postal Service unveiled a 2023 stamp featuring one of Schuylkill County’s landmarks.
“The 2023 Stamp Program features a wide range of themes and designs. We offer a wide range of options for those who want to send.
This year’s collection includes several categories and highlights including Lunar New Year, Love, Great Smoky Mountains, Ernest J. Gaines, Pinata, Yacht, Red Fox, Snow Globe, Thinking of You, Tulip Blossom, Chief Standing Bear, and Winter. Includes stamps of people who should. Woodland Animals, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Toni Morrison, Women’s Soccer, just to name a few.
However, the stamps that refer to Schuylkill County are “railroad stations.” The USPS has taken five of his train stations from across the country, including Tamaqua’s.
Other stations featured included the Point of Rocks Station in Maryland. Main Street Station in Richmond, Virginia. Santa Fe Station in San Bernardino, California. Union Terminal in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tamagawa Station was the only station where passenger trains did not stop.
