Walk safely and comfortably, stay fit, and reduce arthritis and other joint pain. Walking is the core activity of the Walk with Ease program, but it also includes health education, stretching and strengthening exercises, and motivational strategies. An Arthritis Foundation Certified Walk with Ease Program Leader will lead the walk, address specific issues, and provide individualized exercise modifications as needed.

This project was founded by him in 2010 prompted by one fundamental question as a creative, intellectual and artistic exploration. What is a Happy Black Man? Members and non-members of the Pasadena Senior Center at 85 E. Holly Street are invited to free events and activities throughout November for anyone over the age of 50. When you register for a Zoom event, you will receive an email link to join each activity online. Most Zoom events will be recorded and aired on the Pasadena Senior Center’s YouTube channel. COVID-19 protocols will be adhered to at all onsite events at the center.
Proof of immunization is required when attending indoor events on property or using the fitness center. Masks are recommended but not required.

Low-income residents aged 60 and over who present ID and proof of age will receive one free box of food and two boxes for couples. Each box contains foods that meet specific nutritional needs, such as cheese, canned fruits and vegetables, formula and related dairy products, cereals and other grain products. Proof of income and California ID are required for first-time pick-up. The boxes are heavy, so bring your own tow cart to the parking lot between the Pasadena Senior Center and the Metro Gold Line station. It is forbidden to open boxes on the premises.

November 11: “Motherless Brooklyn” (2019, R). In 1950s New York, a lone private investigator with Tourette’s Syndrome is determined to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend. This was Bruce Willis’ last film before retiring earlier this year due to aphasia.
November 18: “Grumpy Old Men” starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau (1993, PG-13). A lifelong feud between two retired neighbors only gets worse during the holidays when a new neighbor (Ann-Margret) moves across the street.

Indoor health fair services include blood pressure and glucose tests, hearing tests, Medicare health plan updates, resources, and more. Pre-assembled sacks of fresh, nutritious vegetables will be distributed on the patio, but the supply will come last, courtesy of the Malta Ministry of Mobility. One bag per person. It is recommended that everyone bring a cart to pull behind them to transport their produce home.
