Under the direction of Dr. David Newby, the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra will perform at Country Oaks Baptist Church at 20915 Scout Road on Sunday, October 30th at 4pm.Doors open at 3:30pm
The program features pianist Jason Stoll in Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor.
Southern California pianist Stoll has enjoyed a multifaceted career as a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, educator, and collaborator. Concert highlights of his 2022-2023 season include concerto appearances with the Santa Monica Symphony, Westlake his Village Symphony, Antelope his Ballet Symphony, several of his solo recitals, and chamber music performances across the United States. It is included.
In addition to his busy schedule as a solo artist, Stoll is also a chamber music enthusiast. Over the years, he has actively participated in various ensembles with their own instrumentation and repertoire, including the ace trio (flute, clarinet, piano), numerous duos, trios, and quartets.
Stoll is currently a piano instructor and lecturer at California State University, Northridge, and is also a freelance pianist, masterclass presenter, and judge throughout the Los Angeles area.
The orchestra will also perform Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Wasp Overture” and Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 1 in C major.”
