Teyana Taylor claims she’s “enjoying aging” and gets injections just to “smooth the lines between her brows.”
The 31-year-old actress and singer has signed a brand partnership with injectable company Xeomin, but insists she doesn’t want to look any younger.
She told Bustle:[Getting injectables] ain’t gonna put me back [looking] 16, 17, or 18.
“It just smoothes out my brow lines…and that’s simply what I use it for: to smooth out my brow lines. I like getting older, so I don’t feel younger.”
The “Coming 2 America” star is scared of needles, but insisted the pain wasn’t as bad as she expected.
In an interview with Essence, she said:
“It was a big deal for me. I was really happy with my results and it was very quick and not too painful, especially for someone who is afraid of needles.
Xeomin’s gig comes after Teyana joined forces with her daughter to create a new fashion line for the summer.
The star turned to her 6-year-old daughter Junie for help and inspiration for her fashion venture called JuJuBeez.
Says Teyana, whose line offers parent-appropriate kids’ activewear styles:
“This is one of many steps to change the narrative that women are put in while growing up and being taught what they can and can’t do. I want to change that narrative. Anything is possible.”
Teyana had previously worked with sportswear giant Reebok, and at the time she was being welcomed by Todd Krinsky, Global Vice President of Reebok Classic and Entertainment.
He said: “[Taylor] A risk-taker who brings a unique perspective to every project, he stands uniquely at the intersection of fashion, music and fitness. “
