This weekend, ‘Britain’s Best 10K’ is back in Malton.
The Marathon du Malton takes place on Sunday 23rd October and foodie lovers and runners can eat, drink and stagger through Yorkshire’s food capital and enjoy all the goodies the town has to offer.
It was originally scheduled to take place last month, but was postponed due to the Queen’s death.
The Gourmet Marathon is inspired by the Medoc Marathon held in September in the wine regions of France.
With a short 10km distance, the Malton Marathon takes participants on a winding route through the picturesque scenery around Malton, enjoying a variety of delicious food and drink along the way.
Attendees will be able to sample and experience local specialties such as beer and gin, roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and British pastry champion macaroons.
Registration opens at Malton’s Marketplace at 9am and the fun starts at 10am. Three races depart from the starting line in the center of town throughout his day.
