    The United Arab Emirates Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has Digital Lifestyle in UAE 2022 report.

    The report reveals that the United Arab Emirates is one of the leading countries in the world in various Digital Life Indexes.

    Other key findings of the report showed that the UAE ranked…

    • 13th in the world for home internet speed. The average internet speed in Japan has reached 124.7 Mbps, compared to the global average of 63.46 Mbps.
    • It ranks second in the world with an internet usage rate of 99%, compared to the global average of 62.5%, indicating that the UAE has 9.935 million internet users.
    • Mobile Internet usage time is 4 hours and 35 minutes compared to the global average of 3 hours and 43 minutes, ranking 12th in the world. The country also ranked her 11th in the world in terms of internet usage time.
    • The average amount of time spent using the internet across all devices, be it a computer or a mobile phone, ranked 10th globally, averaging 8 hours and 36 minutes compared to the global average of 6 hours and 58 minutes.
    • The average time spent on social media per capita is 106%, a world first compared to the global average of 58.4%. The United Arab Emirates also has 200% higher population engagement on social media than the world.
    • It ranked 50% of the top 20 countries for using digital video as a source of learning and 27.6% of the top 10 countries for sharing digital visual blogs.
