A new pro-death penalty ad from Kansas Republican nominee Attorney General Chris Kovack features footage of Tiger Woods being arrested for DUI in 2017.
Ad transcript:
“They call it the Wichita Massacre,” begins the narration. “The brothers were convicted of rape, torture and murder.
Cheeper was convicted of murder for a shooting in Greenwood County. There will be no death penalty for anyone.”
“If Chris Mann becomes Attorney General,” Lynn County Sheriff Kevin Wood interjects. “It’s more dangerous for our family. We can’t let it happen.
“We can’t risk Chris’ safety,” the narration ends.
Woods can be seen at the 15-second mark in the video.
According to a Kobach campaign spokesperson, the ad was fixed within minutes of its release.
“That was the agency’s mistake,” Dandri Herbert told Fox News. “We found it and fixed it in minutes. The media picked up on this and Chris Mann is a crime-friendly liberal Democrat who easily frees police killers and mass murderers from heinous crimes.” What a happy accident to expose yourself as a member.”
A new version of the ad replaced Woods with a stock image of a prisoner.
