Vann started her business eight years ago with the goal of reinvesting in her community and being a role model for young people.

When Lee visited Van’s bakery earlier this week, she had no idea that she would be surprised by thousands of dollars later.
“Your customer service was through the roof and you didn’t know who I was,” Lee told Van on Thursday, adding that her green tea latte and sea salt chocolate chip cookie he ate. He said it was the best of them all.
Vann was overjoyed when Keith and GMA presented him with a check for $10,000 from Duncan Hines.
“Shut up,” she said with a wide smile. “Oh my God, thank you very much.”
