Tim Burton refuses to watch his own movies and compares watching clips of his work to attending a funeral.
The director has made memorable movies like ‘Edward Scissorhands,’ ‘Batman Returns,’ and ‘Beetlejuice,’ but has confessed that he doesn’t like watching the movies he’s made, and he’s a fan of those movies. Actively avoids the need to watch again.
In an interview with Deadline.com, he explained:
He went on to explain that he thinks each of his films represents a period in his life, so it feels strange to see them again.
Tim added: “The movies you’re in are part of your life and it’s so deep and meaningful. Watching your life flash before your eyes.” So I likened it to a funeral in a beautiful way, in a way… to capture a moment in your life.”
This comes after the filmmaker dodged rumors that he was planning to direct a sequel to 1988’s Beetlejuice. When asked if he would be involved in the new film, he told the website: “Nothing is wrong.”
He added: Statement.I’m working on ideas and things, but it’s all in the very early stages.We’ll set how it goes.What if there’s no answer?”
