Exclusive: Vertical Entertainment has appointed former Aviron and The Weinstein Company executive Francois Martin as Senior Vice President of Content Partnerships.
Martin is currently responsible for leading and growing the independent distributor’s content sales presence across all platforms. He has already held this position and will report to his vertical partners Peter Jarowey and Rich Goldberg.
Martin started his career in Miramax’s marketing department and moved to The Weinstein Company when it was founded in 2005. After more than a decade of his time at the prestigious studios of the time, he rose from Senior Director of Marketing to President of Marketing Strategy at both TWCs. Miramax label, Dimension Films.
The executive has previously worked on notable movie marketing campaigns such as: kill bill, Chicago, spy kids, scary movies, Lee Daniel’s The Butler, django unchained, Inglourious Basterds, king’s speech, Paddington When silver linings playbook, among others. In between roles at TWC and Vertical, Martin served as Executive Vice President of Media Strategy and Content Delivery at William Sadleir’s Aviron Pictures.
