The team has spent years developing their own 3-Arm Wandering Hour timepiece, making it affordable even for a limited-edition timepiece. The Early Bird Pledge is now available starting at around $679 or £586 for creative projects. (according to current exchange rate)offering a significant discount of approximately 43% off the retail price while the Kickstarter crowdfunding is ongoing.
“Wandering hour (also called floating hour or chronoscope) displays have been in use for about four centuries and were usually made for kings and rulers. Created the first Wandering Hour, a night watch for the world: in a complete innovation, the traditional hands were replaced by hour numerals on a rotating disc, with semi-circular arcs across the dial. Alexander’s pendulum clock at night was illuminated by an oil lamp so that the pope could see the time in the dark.Wandering hour designs have taken many forms over the years, but the price has always been out of reach for most people.”
