Xiaomi Redmi Projector and Redmi Projector Pro are now available for pre-order in China. As expected, the gadget features a native 1080p resolution, and while the standard model features a black and white casing, the Pro device is all black. However, some of the leaked details such as brightness did not match those confirmed by Xiaomi. For example, both devices use LED and LCD technology to produce up to 150 ANSI lumens of brightness and project images up to 100 inches (~254 cm) wide with a 1.2:1 throw ratio.
There are two important differences between the standard model and the Pro model. For starters, the Pro has 16GB of storage, while the standard model only has 8GB. Next, the standard product has automatic vertical correction, and the Pro version is upgraded to include automatic focus, keystone correction and obstacle avoidance. Both projectors have dual built-in 3W speakers and offer a panoramic audio experience with WANOS technology. You can connect to your gadget via USB 2.0 and HDMI ARC ports, or wirelessly via dual-band Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 5.0. In addition, you can control your device with Xiao AI voice commands.
The Redmi projector is lightweight, weighing in at 1.2 kg (~2.65 lbs) and measuring in at 129.5 x 117 x 179.4 mm (~5.1 x 4.6 x 7.1 inches). The company claims the device is IPX5 rated dustproof, allowing the product to last up to 10 years.The Xiaomi Redmi Projector and Redmi Projector Pro are currently priced at 999 yuan (~138 USD) and 1,299 yuan (~138 USD) respectively in China. $179 USD) to pre-order. The gadget will be priced at 1,399 RMB (~193 USD) and 1,599 RMB (~220 USD) in the future.
