If there’s ever a better time to have a stunt beer than at a state fair, it has to be the Super Bowl. So this actually makes sense.
North Loop’s Modist Brewing has teamed up with Hormel to create a limited release beer. chili cheese brew.
Starting Tuesday, January 24th at 8am, 4 packs for $24 parties are available at HormelChiliCheeseBrew.com (while supplies last). February 12th.
Everything is fun, but you should be able to drink. American Lager features Minnesota Pilsner barley malt and flaky corn. Modisto brewers added chili spice and real cheese powder and used a centrifuge to create a clear crusher. And here’s what: it’s not bad. it’s not! I took a sneak sip last week and my nose is all Taco Tuesday. Chili spice lingers in the air as you hold the pale golden lager up your face. Oh it lingers. The lager itself has a bit of a kick and is made with cheese powder in the brewing process, so don’t come across a big cheese statement, but by all means throw it in your beer’s cheese soup! Add a little tomato juice and drink Michelada style.
These beers are likely to sell out online, but there’s a limited chance to sample them at Modist Brewing’s taproom starting Tuesday.
